Job Title: Chief Financial Officer: Full-time

Reports to: The Chief Executive Officer

Responsibilities:

The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for the efficient and effective facilitation and management of the organization's financial infrastructure to include daily financial management, formulating, monitoring and measuring the organization's financial and investment strategies, overseeing endowment funds, facilitating budgeting process and performance metrics that supports the organization's strategic direction and efficient management of finances; *Works closely with the Board of Trustees’ Treasurer; *Manages the financial audits for the organization and pension plan; *Provides direction and management of finance consultants; *Implements best practices for cash management, investment and financial reporting; including ensuring effective financial administration policies and procedures are in place and reviewed annually and as needed; *Provides financial reports to the Executive Team on a monthly basis, and as requested, the Board of Trustees on a quarterly basis and as requested and fulfill other internal and external informational requests, as needed; *Facilitates onboarding for new employees and employee benefits; *Understands and coordinates key elements of the organization's financial and investment risk profile including constructing and monitoring reliable control systems; maintaining appropriate insurance coverage; ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory financial requirements; keeping records in accordance with the requirements of auditors and government agencies; maintaining relations with external auditors and investment managers; and reporting risk issues to the CEO and the Board of Trustees; *Conducts reviews of annual budget for organization's hospital affiliate and provides recommendations to organization, accordingly; *Maintains appropriate cash flow balances and accurate forecasts; maintain banking relationships; oversee the Fulton and DeKalb County financial reporting requirements, and close out financials monthly; *Manages debt and equity financing for the organization, Hospital, and Counties as required; *Staffs the Investment and Pension Committees of the Board of Trustees and make financial presentations to Committees, Board of Trustees and other entities, as required; *Supervises the Staff Accountant; and *Other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor’s degree required Master of Business Administration or other advanced degree related to skills required for the position

Certifications

CPA preferred

Required/Preferred Experience

Documented experience with General Accounting, Pension Plans, Endowments and Audits Documented Government and/or Non-profit Accounting experience preferred
